The Assam Higher Secondary Council (AHSEC) has officially announced the Assam HS Result 2024 on May 9. This year’s declaration came a month earlier compared to the previous year, surprising students and educators alike. Around 2 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 exams across all four streams: Science, Arts, Commerce, and Vocational.
Key Statistics:
- Science Stream: The highest success rate was achieved by Science students, with an impressive 89.88% pass percentage.
- Arts Stream: The pass percentage stood at 89.18%.
- Commerce Stream: Commerce students achieved a pass percentage of 87.80%.
- Vocational Stream: The success rate was lowest in the Vocational stream, with 85.78%.
District-wise Performance:
- Baksa district achieved the highest pass percentage in the Arts stream at 97.44%.
- In the Science stream, Tamulpur district secured the top spot with a pass percentage of 97.98%.
- In Commerce, Sivasagar district led with a pass percentage of 97.42%.

Compared to last year, the pass percentages have significantly improved across all streams. In the Arts stream, the pass percentage rose from 70.12% to 89.18% this year. Similarly, in Science and Commerce, the pass percentages increased from 84.96% to 89.88% and from 79.57% to 87.80%, respectively.
