A Leap in Naval Logistics
The ACTCM Barge project is a testament to the Indian Navy’s commitment to strengthening its logistical operations. These barges are set to play a pivotal role in the transportation, embarkation, and disembarkation of ammunition to Indian Navy ships, enhancing operational readiness at both jetties and outer harbors.

Indigenous Design and Construction
Proudly designed and constructed under the stringent Naval Rules and Regulations of the Indian Register of Shipping, these barges embody the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The meticulous model testing during the design phase was conducted at the Naval Science and Technological Laboratory in Visakhapatnam, ensuring the highest standards of maritime engineering.

The Launch Ceremony: A Milestone Event
The launch ceremony of LSAM 20 was graced by the presence of Shri Madhusudan Bhui, INAS, GM NAD (Karanja), highlighting the importance of this project to the Indian Navy’s strategic objectives. The contract for the construction of these 11 ACTCM Barges was inked on March 5, 2021, between the Ministry of Defence and M/s Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd.
