The Gurugram-based electric mobility arm of SAR Group, Lectrix EV, has recently introduced its latest electric two-wheeler.

Under this program, customers can benefit from an unlimited battery warranty by subscribing to battery services. Priced at just Rs 49,999, it’s the first-ever e-scooter with such a program.
During the launch event, Pritesh Talwar, President of Lectrix EV’s EV Business, highlighted the advantages of the BaaS program. He emphasized that separating the battery from the vehicle and offering it as a service makes the EV experience more affordable and accessible, especially compared to the Rs 100,000 cost of purchasing an ICE vehicle. Talwar further explained that with rising monthly petrol expenses and the maintenance costs associated with ICE vehicles, their subscription plan becomes more economically viable. The fluctuating costs of vehicle maintenance and petrol make their subscription plan a more stable option.
Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Program: All You Need To Know
This program entails offering customers a battery-as-a-service facility alongside the electric scooter. However, EV owners will need to subscribe separately for the battery, at a monthly cost of Rs 1499.
Lectrix EV is the first company in India to dismantle batteries and provide them as a service to customers. The standout feature is the introduction of a battery with a lifetime warranty, aimed at resolving battery-related concerns.
With a fully charged battery, this affordable, high-speed electric scooter boasts a driving range of up to 100 kilometres. It can reach a maximum speed of 50 kilometres per hour and maintain that speed consistently.
