Megastars Vyjayanthimala and Chiranjeevi Honored with Prestigious Padma Vibhushan Awards


On the eve of Republic Day 2024, the Indian government announced the prestigious Padma awards, recognizing exceptional contributions across various fields. Among the recipients were two legendary actors: Vyjayanthimala Bali and Konidela Chiranjeevi.

Padma Vibhushan for Vyjayanthimala:

Vyjayanthimala, a veteran actress known for her iconic roles in Indian cinema, received the Padma Vibhushan—the second-highest civilian honor. Clad in a graceful yellow saree, she accepted the award with utmost dignity. Her family members were present to witness this momentous occasion.

Chiranjeevi’s Honor:

South India’s megastar, Chiranjeevi, also stood on the grand stage to receive the Padma Vibhushan. The Thrown Room (Darbar Hall) in Delhi echoed with cheers as he accepted the award. His wife, Surekha, son and actor Ram Charan, and daughter-in-law Upasana Konidela were there to support him.

Other Awardees:

Besides Vyjayanthimala and Chiranjeevi, several other distinguished individuals were honored with Padma awards. Notably, the late Justice Fathima Beevi, Mithun Chakraborty, Usha Uthup, and Foxconn Chairman Young Liu were among the recipients.

The Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri awards collectively celebrated excellence and service across various domains. These awards recognize outstanding contributions that enrich our nation’s cultural, artistic, and social fabric.
